7 Reasons Why ITC Welcome Hotel, Dwarka should be your next weekend getaway!

Life in a metro is many things but quiet. The maddening traffic, the chaotic pace and now the rebelling weather has added to our already stressful live. A long weekend away needs to be everything other than tolling. I recently stayed at the ITC Welcome Hotel Dwarka and here are my reasons why it is the best weekend getaway from Delhi !

Location

It’s location is a perk believe it or not. It is just the right amount of further away from the city to be a getaway while being perfectly within long-drive limits. If you are not the driving kinds, take the metro here! It took us about 1 hour and a few minutes of a beautiful drive through the green Aravali range to the immaculately planned roads of Dwarka to reach the Grand entrance of Welcome Hotel, Dwarka!

Luxurious Rooms

I have stayed at the Finest hotels and believe the luxurious quotient of a room is tested by the depth of your sleep! I cannot explain in words how well we slept. The bed is cozy and there is literally pin drop silence. Not even the air conditioning makes a sound! The room includes a mini bar, a hot kettle and tea ensemble. There was a bathtub in the room as per my request. The bath amenities are Vivel by ITC and they’re good enough for you to not need to carry your own!

Sumptuous Food

From their Coffeeshop, The Pavilion 75 named for the Pin Code of the area to the Kebabs and Curries offering the choicest Indian food to their Lounge, Shanghai with a beautiful city lights at night view. You are covered through the weekend. The coffeeshop has a fulfilling breakfast buffet complete with a dosa and omlette counter. The Kebabs and Curries has 1100 candles welcoming you, a romatic decandence that will spoil you silly!  Their Lounge has impressively upbeat music and the bartenders pamper you with their finest concoctions. So, No missing out on the Saturday Night!

Deferential Service

Each and every member of the team here has one aim : Your comfort! They are keenly observant and servile to a level you will feel kingly! From Simran at the Front desk, Vinod of housekeeping, Manish at the In room dining, Chef Gopal in the kitchen and Romil, who served us in the room; each one had a natural instict of hospitality. Especially Mr. Vinod who made our room went out of his way to help us take our luggage down. I applaud his commitment to the hotel and innate ability to consider us his own guests!
The Open Air Swimming pool and Spa

The pool is open to the beautiful sky and Because it is on the third floor of this property, it is private. The water is clean and chlorine level is minimal. There is a neat shower area and lifeguards are attentive. The hotel offers one of the best health club and spas that you could think of. What is better at a weekend away than a relaxing massage!

View of the mall from the lift of the hotel!

Shopping Mall Next Door

Even though, you may think you are there just to rest, a stroll outside to the mall will refresh you. There is a restaurant, an ice cream vendor and stalls selling souvenirs, jewellery, plants and other trinkets. Other than that there are a few branded apparel and shoe stores including a posh liquor store. Wink Wink!
Affordable Prices

By now the doubt bug must have entered your mind about the ‘Makeup be costly’ part. This property is easily within a budget for a weekend getaway. All these amazing unwinding features of luxury are infact in a budget price! We found rates of around 4 to 7 thousand INR online for the base and second highest category rooms here. The price is well worth the experience and may I say, You will be happy, you made the decision to stay here!
Some Peak Pictures to the weekend that awaits you!

  3. as the term “weekend getaway” comes up, the only thing that comes to my mind is hill stations….never thought of any such thing, being in the same town….could do so in winters, the time to get cozy in the blankets

I actually took my mom for a surprise weekend getaway. With busy schedules, a long weekend and travel becomes difficult and hectic. We spent time in the pool, they have to die for food and there is a spa to help unwind! Not only a choice for winters I would say!
