Trend, Ansal Plaza
#ImTRENDing

Trend is a restaurant with awesome staff, brilliant 5-star ambience and foot-tapping music till you dig in to their food. As then, it is nothing like you’ve ever experienced before!

Trend Restaurant at Ansal Plaza
Luxury Defined !

Trend is one of the few restaurants today which has dared to go back to the classic, elegant yet Uber luxurious decor. A move which sets it far apart from the mushrooming Indo-western, boho, fun outlets. The ambience is one you sit and feel pampered in, already. Even before the food arrives. The team is just as courteous, mannerly and deferential as you would expect at a 5-star deluxe property. With the option for both indoors and outdoor seating, Trend does not scrounge on space in their table layout. Amply private and roomy, the seating is comfortable and delightful.

Apt for a dinner date, family dinner, a posh friends’ get togther and celebrations!

Mysore Mutton Thali

To dig in to the best part of my experience, to which I am so sold -. the Food! My favorite most and a strong recommendation here is the Mysore Mutton Thali which is delectable. Succulent, flavorsome mutton served with their secret Mysore masala gravy topped with fried crispy curry leaf that adds to the euphoric experience of this dish! The second best wonder is the Jack Daniel’s Tandoori Pork Belly which is the most tender pork belly you will ever put in your mouth! Delicately flavored and cooked with my favorite Jack Daniel’s, has a subtle malty flavor which is easy to fall in love with.  In vegetarian dishes, one to try out here is the Burrata Makhni which is made with the Italian burrata cheese which is a cross between mozzarella and fresh cream. It has been lent Indian culture with the cult favorite makhani gravy. Stuffed with spinach and other goodies which remain a pleasant secret, this one is going to steal your heart! Amongst other must try dishes here is the Salmon, avocado and Mango Salad which is a subtle bud teaser with a blast of flavors exploding to form something beautiful. Imagine the sea with a mango tree grounded in earthy avocado! You have to try it to understand it – Not for everyone though as it a cold salad with fish! If you’re more into the Desi bites try the Puffed Aloo Chaat which is a treat for those with a tangy palates. A healthy take off the street food that has us all in a mouth watering situation just thinking of it!
Notable Mentions :

Non-Vegetarian –  Tandoori Chicken Platter which has ‘The Three Musketeers of Trend ‘ – Sarson Tikka, Malai Tikka and Tandoori Tikka – Well marinated, coated and served with a garnish throw off their respective sauces and not your regular green chutney! Lamb Truffle Tagliatelle is an Italian delicacy which brings truffle oil to the forefront and marries it with the innate flavors of minced lamb cooked just right. The Tagliatelle is al-dante, just the classic you’d expect – or not! 😉

Tandoori Chicken Platter

Vegetarian : Pizza Basilica – The unusual rectangular pizza crust is so light that you could eat the entire thing in one go! Toppings of Tomato and zucchini srinkled with wheat and fresh Basil, this one is sure to delight you. Three Cheese souffle in Potato Skin How can one resist a three Cheese souffle that is served with crucky Golden brown asparagus twigs in a Potato cup!? A baked potato with jacket filled with the delicious creamy souffle is definitely worth a notable mention!

Creme Brulee

In desserts the Creme Brulee has a surprise which I leave upto you to find but I can tell you the twist is a must try. The Falooda is delicious, very classic with a welcome sprinkle of chia seeds tucked in safely to only pop in your mouth to bring a fresh feel to the good old Falooda!
