Hit the highest note at Grappa, Shangri-la !

Whisky Lullaby at Grappa, Shangri-la, New Delhi!

Picking up as the ‘It’ place for a club night, Grappa is the no syaapa place where you’d find the best crowd and ambience in Delhi. A sprawling garden attached with the open out door seating with mist fans strategically placed to make the dry summer seem comfortable spring nights. That’s the most sought after seating space available so if you’d like to take a group or a date, make sure you book your table well in advance!
There’s indoor seating with air-conditioning, not as capacious as the outside but the DJ and the saxophone player make it my favourite spot here. There is another den like small quaint spot parallel to the indoor seating which is mostly a fine dine spot. So, a lot of options for one place!
The bar is the busy spot not so strategically placed in a tight spot and becomes a bottle neck because of those entering, standing by the bar and leaving. However the team is mostly efficient with servers like Avinash who effectively makes sure that your drinks and food reach you. Mr.Vivek Tyagi, the Food and Beverage Manager is at the top of his game, omnipresent and making sure each guest is comfortable and having the high class Grappa experience. The floor manager is somewhat a brood though and talks brashly. He scolded me for my friend leaving his phone on the table. Focus on ‘scolding’. Was a shocker!
We didn’t get a bite as the menu is less elaborate than I’d like as a foodie but that is not the point of a Bar anyway so no love lost.
The music is the highlight of this place. The saxophone just makes you groove and i still hear it while writing this experience down. The fusion of a disco jockey and a saxophonist is brilliant!
Overall, I’d give Grappa a 4/5 rating and would urge you to try this place for sure!
